If you’re a fan of sweet and salty treats, then you’re going to love this Churro Saltine Toffee recipe. It combines the crunchy texture of saltine crackers with the buttery toffee and cinnamon sugar flavors of a churro. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a cozy night in with a movie.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sleeve of saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure to cover the entire surface.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the toffee mixture over the saltine crackers, making sure to coat them evenly.
  5. Bake the toffee-covered crackers in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbling and caramelized.
  6. While the toffee crackers are baking, mix the white chocolate chips, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
  7. Once the toffee crackers are done baking, remove them from the oven and immediately spread the melted white chocolate mixture over the top.
  8. Sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar on top for extra flavor.
  9. Allow the Churro Saltine Toffee to cool completely before breaking it into pieces and serving.
