  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the BBQ sauce, honey, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to the saucepan. Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Brush the chicken breasts with the BBQ sauce mixture and grill for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into strips.
  6. Warm the tortillas on the grill for 1-2 minutes per side.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing a few strips of chicken on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped cilantro.
  8. Drizzle any remaining BBQ sauce over the tacos and serve with lime wedges on the side.
