Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  2. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flour taste.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens into a gravy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. In a separate pot, boil the chopped potatoes until they are fork-tender. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. Using a potato masher or hand mixer, mash the potatoes until smooth. Add in the milk and butter, and continue mashing until the potatoes are creamy and fluffy.
  6. To serve, spoon the ground beef gravy over the mashed potatoes and enjoy!
