In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken pieces with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and salt before adding them to the pot.
Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pot and set aside.
In the same pot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the uncooked orzo to the pot, stirring it with the garlic for about a minute to toast it slightly.
Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Stir in the heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and black pepper. If desired, add the butter for extra creaminess.
Return the cooked chicken to the pot and mix everything together until well combined and heated through. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy your Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo!
