Method
- Preheat your oil in a deep pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Whip egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Sift together cake flour and salt, then gently fold into the egg mixture.
- Pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- While warm, roll the churro bites in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
