Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds fresh clams scrubbed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Prepare the clams by scrubbing them thoroughly under cold water.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, lime juice, orange juice, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the cleaned clams to the bowl and mix well to ensure they are coated.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the clams marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated clams.
  6. Cover the skillet with a lid and allow the clams to steam for about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove the skillet from heat and discard any unopened clams.
  8. Serve the mojo clams immediately, garnished with additional herbs if desired.
